no, they cut it off because of some explosion to their town that totally didnt involved me.
[aka, it very much did involve her, and she accidentally blew up their fancy wall and killed some of their people, whoops.]
but their heebie-jeebie magic wore off or something and we got power back in aldrag so its all great!! but we cant visit there anymore. they hate us. but who really cares when theyre part of the AI, too. theyre not real people.
ha, no way, pal!! theres only, what, 3 people here who are zaunties. everyone else are from... aaaalllllll over. and didnt u read my name? im zaun's royalty, not aldrip's. they need to find their own ruler.
but if this town goes shit again, ill step up and be the big fat hero and save these suckers if i gotta. mainly my friends. who arent mages or whatever. we got a lot of magic users in this joint. so they dont need my rescue.
I know some of them, yeah. I lived on their island for a while in between appearances.
[ Her time on Krakoa was kind of weird, but also... kind of nice? It's good to know that she'll always have a place among the mutants to make sure she doesn't fade into obscurity and therefore nonexistence. ]
[Ekko cannot help the dumbfounded look that crossed his face when the young girl puts forth her bizarre question, blinking wide eyed with a shake of his head and laughing a bit to himself. The mere thought of these snow men being open to conversation when they were very clearly trying to subdue whoever they possibly could by pelting them with snowballs was quite laughable at best.]
I don't think they are really open to conversation or looking to make friends miss. They want nothing more than to turn you into a frozen statue and leave you for dead.
[Looking over his shoulder towards the encroaching assailants with their twiglike arms raised high to the sky to let loose another volley of snow, Ekko gritting his teeth to stand in front of the other in a protective fashion with his sword bat at the ready.]
We need to get out of here before we are completely surrounded...Just follow my lead, alright?
[When the pair of approaching creatures fling their snowballs, Ekko winds up his weaponry to knock them out of midair sending the remnants bursting around themselves.]
If you can fight we need to strike them down now while we have a chance!
[ holy shit. ryuu's stationary for a second, legitimately confused as to why she's even got all that going on, but. she's gotta learn to run with it. ]
Here, lemme give you a hand--
[ it's really a stupid idea, but she's deciding to head on over and try to figure out how the hell she's even stuck on it, trying to help michu get dislodged. which, might involve getting close and trying to get a good angle. what the hell, all these cables too. ]
Mm. I'm not. [It feels strange to her to be mistaken for one. Dimly uncomfortable too, some small blasphemy. It was a facet of this new world that she would have to become accustomed to.] I'm an android. [She jerks her thumb in Pod's direction.] That's Pod. They're a... [you can do it A2] Pod.
[ sheesh, weird guy. at least, if she knew she was immediately identified as a girl then she'd be a little nicer about it. once that topic comes up, she wracks her brain for a second... ]
[A2 can't speak of the good will of councils. As far as YoRHa was concerned, she had been cannon fodder. Though she had wondered, in those moments of solitude and hiding in the years after: if the Council of Humanity were real, would they have allowed the war to continue endlessly?
It troubles her to consider this question for long. She doesn't have long enough to mull over the topic anyway — this... "café" is far more interesting. When she steps inside at Heimerdinger's invitation, here is so much to take in at once. The small gathering of patrons, the sights and smells. She is fascinated and wide-eyed. As someone who has never been in anything resembling civilization, it's akin to being dropped on an alien planet.
Well... she supposed that was what it was like.]
This is...
[She trails off. She almost asks if she's allowed to be here.]
[Trust him, weather is terrible and he'll be happy to elaborate on just how terrible it is later, preferably over real coffee and with a wealth of information to mollify the sense of idyllic country dread this place is giving off from every corner. But first: the plan. He considers, eyes on the street ahead besides a brief glance and a nod when she adds to the plan.
Excellent, to have so quickly run into someone with a mind for plans. Havemercy already misses the sounding board of his staff, so - this is looking like a fine plan, with two heads.]
Hmm! We split, I believe, to cover the most ground in the least time. A single person with foolish intentions will earn more sympathy— or less, in which case the holes in the information will be the clue.
Besides, [he looks at her again, gesturing vaguely to indicate, like... her, in general,] I look much more incompetent all by my lonesome.
[He has to capitalize on his helpless nobody vibe; who knows how willing these locals will be to give them anything at all, really, but the casting the biggest net possible, at least at first? It's a solid strategy.]
Yes, and it moves, [he says, as if the part where it's alive and attacking them is the concern—because it is, probably!! It's also true that he's not that familiar with snow himself, but he's never known bad weather to be so malicious.
But that's not important; he shakes his head and looks around for something heavy they can shove up against this door instead of their own bodies. There's a thick wooden slab of a table only a few strides away, and as much as he hates the idea of destroying the inside of this library, well—needs must.
First, hm, that looks bad,] —That is something to be dealt with in the safety of the backrooms.
[The handful of flakes that hit him in the face are starting to spread, too, a thin layer that makes his skin feel tight - but the door first, the door. He points at the table.]
We boldly raise a barricade and then hastily retreat, what do you think?
Grumbles as I noticed I said something the same twice in arow before this. lol
The way I see it life is either an adventure or nothing at all.
[Living his life to a moral code and set of principles that he used to as a compass to guide his path, Ekko strived to live each day like it was his last. You never knew what was going to be thrown your way next when you struggled to survive on a daily basis, the Firelights knowing this better than most as his people not only looked to sustain themselves but flourish under the conditions allotted to them.
Heimerdinger had lived out the majority of his days comfortably until those he thought his equals casts him aside after everything he did to better Piltover's society. It was no question his mentor improved the lives of others with his ingenious creations but in the end what did he have to show for it besides empty promises and betrayal from those he held in the highest regard? When accepted into his fold Ekko treated his newfound companion with not only the respect he deserved but enjoyed their time spent together to the fullest.
Welling up with a sense of pride at the professor's praise a hushed bit of laughter falls of his parted lips with a nod of his head in agreement.]
Progress is impossible without change. We'll find a way to overcome the adversities this 'Council' has thrown at us one way or another just like we always have, Heimerdinger.
Hehe, okay, watch this! [ Abigail turns a bit to look over at her familiars that immediately run over when she moves. ] Nosh, Luther, can you find me some Nuts or Rocks? Its a bit hard to find them because its covered in snow, whoever finds it first gets extra pets!
[ The two cats immediately scramble upon receiving their task... ]
Hehe! See, now we can keep building our new friend up!
[ Abigail seems a bit more panicked now then before, her hands drawing closer to her chest. She quickly tries to get out - ] Do-Do they h-hang people here?

Briar | League of Legends | Test Drive 2 (New player)
Arrival: Well it was dark, and she couldn't move very much. Where she was it was a lot smaller than the cell she had been in before, and with the Pillory she was turned at a rather odd angle to fit inside of the coffin. Which also ment it was proving rather difficult to get out at the moment. The large bow wrapped around it and put on the front added further, leaving only the sound of a rather confused person to be the only thing escaping momentarily.
"Hello? Hey, can someone let me out? Or at the very least slide something to eat inside, I'm hungry."
If left for very long, there would be a loud thudding as she slammed her head against the lid, and growls of a annoyance growing louder.
Missle toads: It was so fun and interesting to be in a new place with so many interesting things, and so much new food and blood. Look at that deer with the glowing red eyes, she wondered it would taste like, oooh a skeletal santa. There was no way to get blood out of that though, so other than being cool it didn't really hold Briar's interest for long. Seeing the amphibians though she looked confused for a moment, were they wearing weapons on their back, maybe they were like her and were meant to be living weapons. But then it suddenly dawned on her,
"Ooooh I get it, missle toads. It's like Mistletoe, but only deadlier, how cool. What do you with them, blow one another up? Can I eat one?"
The Winter Solstice CW: mentions of gore A feast! Now that was something that Briar could get behind, she just hoped that there was a lot of meat and blood, like buckets of blood. She hadn't had a bite yet since she'd gotten out of the coffin and even with the Pillory she was starting to feel the desire to eat and sink her fangs into something or someone. But she was in control, taking a few deep breaths as she looked around.
"Snow buddies! Are you trying to build something? Is there going to be a big attack, is that why you're making all those balls?"
Briar could join in, it would be really easy to take any enemies out, they could dye the snow red and make snow cones out of it.
Wildcard: [Same player as Vex up above but wanted to try both out. If you want to go with something else feel free to send me a PM or poke me on plurk at nil_nullity.]
NoooOoooOOOo!! [ The sort of earnest wailing a child would make when they find out something heartbreaking that goes against the fantasy they had in their head. She is so upset and heartbroken to learn that these snowmen were apparently the bad guys the entire time! It wasn't odd either, perse, considering she has fought her fair share of snowmen during winter events. However, it still was arguably disappointing for the girl who seemed charitable towards them. ]
Okay! [ Abigail follows him very closely - it may be odd that a young child can easily keep up with him without breaking a sweat or huffing too much. ] Nosh, Luther! Please help this nice man!
[ On cue, two cats come hurriedly to her heels, keeping pace with the both of them. The grey one listens to Abigail, but the black one jumps onto her shoulders and begins to lick its paws. ] Oh, Nosh, [ Nosh is not tired, he is lazy. ] are you tired? Okay, don't worry, Luther will do it!
[ Luther, the grey cat, barrels past Ekko, sending a storm of snow beneath its paws back behind it. When it gets to a point where it is much further ahead, it springs into the air. Immediately releasing a long beam from its forehead. Quickly taking down the head that sat on top of one of the snowmen near them. ]
Thank you, Luther!! This is so much fun! [ She laughs a little bit, smiling excitedly. ] Okay, Mister, which way?
[ The King blinked at the "sobbing" child before him and back to the frog that was looking smug. If Gilgamesh was a normal and kind adult, he'll just let Abigial smack him until he got bruised, but that would be no fun. That's boring! ]
Good thing you came to me, Abigail.
[ He could only imagined what kind of chaotic scene would happen if this girl were to hit somebody with those Outer God Tentacles of her. It would be amusing. Her stats, despite being a child, as a Servant were quite high. Of course, not on the same level as Gilgamesh but she was qualified to be a Top Servant. ]
[ She takes a stance similar to A2's, raising her fists and tucking her thumb in as instructed.
She definitely doesn't even want to try hitting A2 in the face, that'd be awful. Instead, she goes for her stomach, simultaneously trying to pull the punch and actually make an effort--
It's not a very strong punch at all, but she tries her best. ]
[ even as she rises from the initial cower, Beta isn't very tall or intimidating. almost immediately she's curling in on herself, hands anxiously fidgeting with the ends of her shirt.
she's pale in a way he may recognize, the kind you only get from a complete lack of sunlight for, in Beta's case, her entire life. her eyes don't quite meet his, trained just to the side of his face. ]
At least as tall as you. We can do it in a circle, so they can't throw anything back.
[ luckily for Czes, she's more on the lookout for suspicious adults than kids younger than her, and brushes it off easily.
she takes the gun out of her waistband and sets it aside for now, close enough if she can grab it if she needs to, while making a 'don't touch it' motion at him. ]
