Look, this may sound unhinged, but hear me out: BlazBlue operates on the logic that technology advanced enough is almost no different from magic which is how Ragna manages to use the God-slash-computer running the whole world to recreate said world from scratch despite having no idea how to use a smartphone, so bear with me here.
If Ragna was to attempt to absorb the AI's "soul" (which also extends to memories, especially ones dear to it) with his Soul Eater, would that actually do anything? Essentially, what he's hoping to accomplish is to separate the functional "machine" part and take the "personality/soul/feelings/etc" part for safekeeping (until he can figure out how to save it).
