Because it's Izuku, of course his first thought is to see if this is someone's missing property so he can return it. And yes, he finds a name inside the cover - and one he recognizes, at that. So, while he can't be entirely certain it's not just a coincidence (it's not like he knows what characters Aragaki's name actually uses) he still sends off a quick message:
Hi, this is Izuku. Um, could you come meet me at the library? I think I found something of yours.
After all, if it is a coincidence, it's a heck of a big one. Better safe than sorry!]
