[The past few days have not been kind to anybody, and Yuri is of no exception. He’s done his best, avoiding contact with anyone he doesn’t trust and taking care of himself, but it’s not like he could hide in the shadows forever. He’s tried to save as many as he could, too — but to be honest, this has all been wearing down on him. Sure, he gets to protect someone at least once a day. But that doesn’t guarantee their safety if they end up getting targeted next time. He just wants this all to end, and he hates that this isn’t a problem he could solve with his fists.
What would Flynn do, he wonders? Maybe he would have figured out the source of all this madness by now.
He’s been catching his breath at the park: what once was a bustling hang out spot is now a deserted place, with nothing but plants to keep him company. It’s not the first place anybody would think of as a hiding spot, but it’s an open area with not a lot of places to hide. And Yuri can hold himself well in a fight — it’s one of the reasons why he’s been able to survive this long.
Yet even in such a place he is not completely safe, and someone’s presence is enough for his shoulders to tense. To an outsider it might seem like he’s still lounging casually on the bench, but his hand a firm grip on his sword, if the worse comes to pass.
Here’s the other reason why Yuri has done a great job surviving so far: that saying about how you can sense bloodlust from people? It’s all true. It’s easier when someone is so familiar with it. Takes one to know one, after all. And right now? He could tell that Richard has definitely murdered someone recently.
Oh, and the strong smell of blood was a dead giveaway.
Yuri cranes his neck backwards to get a better look. The bloodstains weren’t so surprising to see.]
I haven’t seen Whitey around, if that’s what you’re gonna ask.
hi richard.
