[Hearing that from her, it really feels like they can't mess up, ever. One wrong move, one wrong calculation, and the friends that he's managed to make could end up dead because of him. She understands, right? It feels like she does, but she's also saying that it would be better if she relied on her teammates earlier. How much does she mean by that?

He knows that Jean and the others want to support him, but doesn't that mean he needs to be even better for them?]


I trust them.

[He trusts them in combat, to come together as a team when it comes down to it. That's why they're the X-Men. Although...] It doesn't mean that I can still mess up.
