You wouldn’t survive five minutes in the demon woods. The human world, with all its conveniences and peaceful nature is close to a vacation when you aren’t jailed there.

There isn’t time for pity, for yourself or for others, when everything from the wildlife to everyone who passes you by is trying to kill you. Nor can demon children rely on their mothers.
