[Kurt's fear does slowly fade while the surprise remains on his face. He's taken aback in several was as Magneto speaks - him speaking in German, his confirmation of his identity and how calm he seems throughout it all. He supposes he shouldn't be too surprised that he knows German, but he did not expect him to go into it like that! It all helps to... ground Magneto in Kurt's mind, in a way he wouldn't think possible.

He does note a mention of him having saved Magneto's life, but considering that it sounds like he new an older Nightcrawler, it wasn't the same incident.
