[It's the omamori charm that he finds at first. And he doesn't really mean to grab it, but it's like he can't help himself and when he does, the memories flood in and out like a wave. It happens so quickly he can barely hold on them, only fading threads of laughter and fun and friends. He doesn't have friends. Does he?
It keeps happening to him with little trinkets. A small skull, a toy sparrow, a pair of chopsticks. Until finally, he's leaning up against a building clutching his head and at his feet is a simple signet ring.]
