( it's apparent that mornings are her favorite time of day. granted, the getting up and shooing away the grogginess always sucked, but what comes after is what makes it worthwhile being up so early. because after getting dressed and making her way to her café, there's this beautiful dim glow inside the establishment to remind her that... she made it. her dream to have her very own coffee shop ever since she was a kid finally made into a reality. there were a lot of mishaps along the way. very...horrible and unfortunate mishaps that she refuses to think about (even though the dead lingers), and it was because of them, for a moment... she felt her aspiration was way out of reach.

but when silco adopted her out of the orphanage, things turned around for her, and she worked harder than she ever did before. this was her second shot to get things right, and to live a life how she wanted -- not suggested. jinx inhales the faint aroma of mocha that seemed to have stuck on her walls from yesterday's last order, and pushes on inside to get ready. her index flicker over light switches in an organic swift motion, bringing the coffee shop more to life with each glow. and when that's done, she flips the "closed" sign at the door, to "open". time to get started!! )

( it's normal for the café to pick up after an hour of it being open, people of aldrip swarm in to form in a line to get their cup of joe or breakfast. but despite how busy it gets, jinx always serves the customer with a smile and full of energy. sometimes... a little too much energy, but the teen enjoys being everyone's first happy-go-lucky person of the day if the rest of it grows sour. that way, they'll have something to fond over, at least. the owner spots a familiar face waltzing in, and jinx waves esthetically and shouts over the buzz of voices. )

Hey, [CHARACTER NAME], Good morning...♪! — Go on and sit wherever, I'll get your order ready.

( the breakfast rush is over, and the business starts to dull. this happens every day, but despite it, that doesn't discourage her nor slow down her adrenaline. jinx uses this time to complete any cake orders or make display bakery decor to peak future customer's interests. she's been in the back for quite some time until suddenly, she bursts through the double doors with a very disturbing cake in her hands. )

Now this is my best work yet, ha ha!!

( jinx settles it carefully behind the glass of all of her other cakes, brownies, and cookie displays -- giggling in sheer delight. the baker bounces in place, then scurries around the counter to get a better look at her creations from a customer's prospective. with her hands place on her hips, jinx sighs dreamily and says to [YOUR CHARACTER] without giving them a glance. )

Beautiful, isn't it? How can anyone hates sweets when they look like this?

( jinx is cleaning a counter top when the bell chimes of someone entering the shop, and her heart sings right along with it as she perks her head up to see who it is. another familiar face just strolled in, and jinx beams gaily as her hands immediately gets to work. but despite knowing this said customer's order to the T, she can't help but to taunt: )

Lemme guess, you want a late breakfast? I bet it's an omelette!

( she winks over to her regular then snickers, resuming on with making their cup/food of the day. )

( all the brewing and baking can get a girl exhausted, and she wishes she had infinite energy to bake and make coffee all minutes and hours in a day. but unfortunately that isn't reality and her voices love to remind her of that. with a strawberries n' crème frappuccino in hand, jinx slumps into a booth and sips the treat quietly. a crow perching right outside the window catches the corner of her eye, but when she glimpses over.... the crow is gone. huh. that's strange. she could have sworn there was a bird there. oh well, maybe she's just working too hard. )

( another end to a perfect day. just like yesterday and the day before that. and as she twists her key to lock up her shop, jinx wonders if tomorrow will be another good day for her. there's no reason why it shouldn't, since all of her troubles are nothing but the past. but she finds her smile faltering as she takes a step back to look upon her café in full. ... just what's with this restless feeling that weighs heavy on her every single night? she should be thrilled over how wonderful things are, and she is. although right on cue like every night, her voices hiss at the edge of her ears -- telling her that something is amiss and that this isn't her true reality.

but of course this is all real, she says to them every day, because you can't touch what isn't real, and she grabbed a ton of spoons, bowls, and cups throughout her days. 'they're just messing with me. to get me shaken up.'

...

but... it couldn't hurt to have someone walk her home. not that this place is dangerous, because aldrip is the safest place around. there's really nothing to worry about, and this is all just silly thinking. ... and yet when she drops the key in her dress pocket, the girl nips on her lip anxiously and wraps her arms firmly around her frame -- warily walking down the sidewalk with her eyes glue to her heels. )

There's nothing wrong, Jinx. Everything's fine...
