[He keeps his hand curled tight in hers, holding her like a lifeline, even though she may be the one fading. Maybe she'll view him as an anchor to hold onto, keeping her here, and bypassing any fated deaths. Scott knows it's a pretty childish thought, but there's little else he can do and it's nice to just believe, even for a moment, that as long as he's with her, she won't fade away. She'll stay here, just because he loves her that much.
