As far as the description for black, she isn't close with Mai or anything (or Knife Girl as Toph still thinks of her half the time) but she's been Zuko's bodyguard a few times, enough to speak with her and think of her immediately. Thinking of colors as people is kind of funny and the first time color has started to mean something to her beyond a visual signifier of national allegiance. ]
