( it's electrifying when their lips meet, the shimmer in her bloodstream rises and pulses through her body and it's hard to contain everything that she's feeling. this isn't a dream, this isn't her brain going haywire to strike up a hallucination (even so, they're never lovely visions) for whatever reason, this is seriously happening... her reality. someone she's a fond of is kissing her and it's not due to a prank or some twisted ploy.
jinx was (or still is?) a fond of ekko too and they kissed like this, but a lot of alcohol was involved back then. and whether that kiss had a true meaning or not may forever be a mystery to her, but this with quentin doesn't seem to be that way. at least not on her side anyway, her lips taste more like the fruity juice than any ounce of alcohol she had prior. but will quentin disappear after this -- just like this happened with her before? will her curse swoop in and rip this lovely moment away from her? just the sheer thought of that being a possibility has her hand trickling down to his shoulder -- her fingers grip tighter on the fabric of his clothing. it's a strange thing, isn't it? before, she trotted around like she's tough shit and now she is a bumbling mess of herself. it's like there's... two girls in one body. but that's impossible, of course. because that girl died along with everything else; buried and so deep down in that well she tripped in. and the dead stays dead... except here in aldrip or wherever they are. )
( and it's her behaving this way is what silco was concern about. after all, he knows his daughter more than she want the man to know, and he is aware how quickly and how hard she attaches herself to people. especially if that said person gives her just a nibblet of affection. and he is right because her heart is swelling, and now she is yearning more of this and quentin. geez, whose getting obsessed with who, huh? but before her thoughts twist more into a tornadic storm, jinx hears quentin barging in . and it's good timing too because he was just about to get backhanded (will smith slap) to the face with all of her fuckery of turmoil. hearing his voice so loud and clearer than the dead (and even her own) is soothing and her winds settle back to that gentle breeze than it working itself into a hurricane.
the grip of clinginess she has on him now eases up and her lips presses harder to his; heated yet loving all the same. 'Yeah...Yeah, okay. Later...' there's a brief pause in her response (not with the kissing part, though. that's still going strong -- maybe a few breaks for air but immediately diving back in again) and while yeah, maybe girls would find that compliment cringe-worthy, jinx is different and possibly just as bad. 'And you're hot. ... Way hotter now than when I first met you.' and she decides there to break their kiss again, but only to nip at the bottom of quentin's lip. the bite isn't hurtful nor hard at all -- it's extremely gentle, especially when she tugs at it before smooshing her lips right back to him. )
