She'd been hoping to read through the journal eventually, but she pockets the coins and looks at the book. "That'll be heavier than throwing pocket change at them."

And she does throw it at one of the Infected, and it makes contact with their body. But instead of it bouncing off... it's almost like the person catches it. Vi doesn't watch for long (even though the Infected person is now opening the book, and their skin starts clearing from the mutation on them...), because she's still got a few others to deal with.

"Well, that's one asshole that's not trying to come after us!" Vi cries, looking around for anything else that she might be able to throw.
