[The fairies unnerved Caitlyn. While she never was outright mean to them, she tried to press them for answers about this world and their situation, to no avail. While she definitely didn't trust them, the portal to this unknown city caught her curiosity, and Vi's too.
Armed with her knife and new, but crudely made rifle, she set out through the portal with Vi, to see what there was to be found. While she was trying to mentally prepare herself for it to be a lot, the ruins in the sand still came with a twinge of sadness and worry. What happened to these people? Were they other Chosen, like the people in Aldrip? Was whatever happened here coming for them next? So many questions burned in her mind.
With a nod towards Vi, and a reassuring touch to the rifle strapped across her back, she moved into the first and closest ruin near them. It looked like a home, and if everything wasn't covered in a layer of sand and dust, she would think she was intruding. She swept through the room, taking in as many details as she could, before she turned back to the table. She ran her finger gently through the dust, before examining the layer that easily wiped off onto her hand.]
This place has been empty for some time. The way the table is set, they must have left suddenly. [though, maybe the question should be, did they leave, or were they taken?]
