But the problem of your main way of protecting yourself being magic is that it takes some time to cast - some time that Ange doesn't have while she's trying to fend off these Infected. There's just way too many of them, and there's only so little Ange can do when she's surrounded by them. She's still very much a teenage girl, after all.
Which is why she's frantically looking around for a solution. Even if it's just something she can temporarily use as a weapon, just something to whack them with--
Except she doesn't spot anything of the sort. Instead she's distracted by some odd-looking huge claw-hand in the distance, spotting it first before she sees the guy attached to it. In the middle of a situation like this, Ange doesn't even stop to think about what kind of weird powers Ragna has, or why he looks so confused.
